The four major mountain ranges in Tucson include the Tucson Mountains, the Tortolita Mountains, the Santa Rita Mountains and just northeast of Tucson, the Santa Catalina Mountains rise to over 9,000 feet.

You are able to hike year-around, however it is best to hike in the early morning during the summer months.
